I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.
I do that by sharing years of extensive strategic, financial, and operating knowledge and experience as a full time or fractional CFO, COO and Advisor. My career has primarily been in high tech (hardware/software/SaaS), life sciences (SaaS/diagnostics/med devices/pharma/healthcare), and ecommerce industries with more recent exposure to both the green and blue economies. My CPA, MBA and early full-time CFO/COO positions were followed by years of fractional roles helping startups develop and grow from pure research/proof-of-concept incubation to rapid scale up of commercial sales including international customers, raising investor growth capital, executing mergers, acquisitions, sales of divisions and subsidiaries, and ultimately, investor liquidity events. In every role the endgame is building long-term enterprise value through short-term, efficient, stage appropriate management of human and financial resources. That means fiscal discipline, implementing scalable processes and systems, enhancing KPI-driven management and reporting, and a balanced approach to analytical analysis, planning, and forecasting.
Typical assignments start with building the Business Plan with clearly defined strategies and action plans, implementing forecasts, budgets, and raising pre-seed, seed and/or non-dilutive capital. Advancing to the next stage is all about scale and includes co-designing/implementing critical infrastructure around more robust management reporting, policies, procedures, and systems across the entire company. My role during scaleup expands into supporting customer acquisition/retention, revenue generation and revenue recognition optimization, optimizing organizational/corporate structure, raising additional growth capital,, and preparing for/implementing auditable, full based GAAP financial reporting when necessary,
