About Anthony Bucci Ph.D.

I'm a pragmatic, adaptable computer scientist with 30 years of R&D experience that includes bringing cutting edge ideas to life via software development in several languages and technology bases. I have conducted scientific research projects from the initial ideation and grant-funding stage through to final publication in scientific journals. I have developed and taught university-level computer science courses. I have a longstanding interest in functional programming and a history of building resilient, large-scale models and simulations as well as distributed systems and long-running optimization processes. I enjoy digging into and solving challenging problems, teaching, and sharing knowledge.

As a consultant I generally have worked with individuals and small to mid-sized organizations to provide usable insights into the complex systems they struggle with and the complicated problems they face. I have worked on projects in domains including pharmaceutical development, health and wellness, educational technology, cybersecurity, legal, and insurance. employing techniques from natural language processing, machine learning, time series analysis, complex systems theory, evolutionary algorithms and microsimulation. My other services include brainstorming and ideation, education, scientific advising, strategic planning, proposal writing and sales support, software development and optimization (especially of old or troubled codebases).
